takt kunstprojektraum hosted a panel discussion on Sunday, May 23d at 7 PM, in conjunction with the exhibition. Panelists included artists from the current exhibition 'Politische Aesthetik: Dokumentation Dokumentiert' and visiting art historian, Julia Schoeffler. The discussion explored topics relevant to the work exhibited. What is the relationship between an image and reality? How does the aesthetic affect the message? In what ways do the intentions of the photographer and the media anticipate preconceptions of the target audience? To what degree does the fabrication of media broadcasts distort the actual event being covered?
